Nature of Telehealth Services

Telehealth involves the use of electronic communications, digital technology, and remote healthcare platforms to allow licensed healthcare professionals to provide consultation, evaluation, education, or treatment recommendations without an in-person visit.

Telehealth services available through the Platform may include remote consultations, messaging, digital health assessments, and related healthcare services.

Independent Healthcare Providers

Healthcare services made available through the Platform are provided by independent licensed healthcare professionals or medical groups.

Doctor Corp. operates as a technology and administrative platform that facilitates access to these services.

Doctor Corp. does not practice medicine, does not provide medical advice, and does not control the professional judgment of healthcare providers.

Healthcare providers using the Platform are solely responsible for the medical services they provide.

Telehealth Consent

By using telehealth services through the Platform, you consent to receive healthcare services through telehealth technologies.

You acknowledge and understand that:

  • Telehealth services are conducted remotely using electronic communication technology
  • Telehealth may not be as comprehensive as in-person medical care
  • Technical issues may occasionally disrupt communication
  • There may be limitations in diagnosing certain conditions remotely
  • You may be advised to seek in-person medical care when appropriate

No Emergency Services

The Platform is not intended for emergency medical situations.

If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or seek immediate medical attention from the nearest emergency facility.

Do not rely on the Platform for urgent or emergency healthcare needs.

Patient Responsibilities

By using telehealth services through the Platform, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete health information
  • Inform the healthcare provider of any relevant medical history
  • Follow instructions provided by the healthcare professional
  • Seek in-person medical care when recommended
  • Use the Platform in accordance with applicable laws

Privacy and Security

Telehealth services rely on electronic communications that may include video, audio, messaging, or data exchange.

Reasonable efforts are made to protect the privacy and security of communications through secure technologies.

However, no electronic communication system can guarantee absolute security.

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

Prescription and Pharmacy Services

If a healthcare provider determines that medication may be appropriate, prescriptions may be issued at the provider’s discretion in accordance with applicable laws and medical standards.

Prescriptions may be fulfilled by licensed third-party pharmacies.

Doctor Corp. does not manufacture, dispense, or ship prescription medications.

All pharmacy services, dispensing decisions, and medication fulfillment are handled by the applicable licensed pharmacy.

Telehealth Service Fees

Fees may apply for telehealth consultations or related services provided through the Platform.

All telehealth services are non-refundable.

Once a consultation has been scheduled or completed, payment is considered earned and will not be refunded except where required by applicable law.

Technology Requirements

Accessing telehealth services requires compatible devices, internet connectivity, and functioning communication tools.

Doctor Corp. is not responsible for service interruptions caused by internet connectivity issues, device malfunction, or other technical limitations outside of our control.

Limitations of Telehealth

You understand that telehealth services may have certain limitations compared to traditional in-person healthcare.

Some conditions may require physical examination, diagnostic testing, or procedures that cannot be performed through telehealth.

Healthcare providers may determine that telehealth is not appropriate for certain conditions and may recommend in-person care.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Doctor Corp. shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of telehealth services provided by independent healthcare professionals through the Platform.

Doctor Corp. does not control or supervise medical decision-making by healthcare providers.

Changes to Telehealth Terms

Doctor Corp. may update this Telehealth Consent & Terms document from time to time.

Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.

Continued use of telehealth services after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
